Darling Downs Rally Day 2016

Darling Downs Zone Rally Report

President Chris Von-Pein, Wayne Horrigan, Vice President Dalby Congregation and Joy Wurst, of Darling Downs Zone President welcome 77 ladies to a warm and windy day at Dalby for our 49th Annual Rally. Our hosts entertained us with a vocal soloist Glenys Kruger singing, “How Beautiful” and the theme song “He is Able”. The banner came together in a way of a jig-saw puzzle, with each piece being placed to form a picture depicting the theme “He is Able”, based on Ephesians 3:20 & 21.

New Darling Downs Zone Executive L – R: Val Kath (Extra member), Margaret Burkett (Secretary), Joyce Schefe (Extra member), Meryl Rosenberger (President), Pastor Stan Rudowski (Councillor) Bev Pile, Heather Patersen, (Extra Members), Hazel Weis (Vice President). Sue Donges (absent).

Pastor Stan Rudowski, Zone Councillor, gave the devotions and Pastor Stuart Kleinig; Dalby led us in the Bible Study. Through our devotions and bible study it was brought very clear to us that God is able in giving us strength and faith to carry out his work within the church, families and communities. If we acknowledge the Holy Spirit and rely on Jesus to use us, he will humbly work through us in our daily prayer life because the One who is able -God- is always with you in whatever you do.

He gave Karen Bryce State President, the strength and safety in travelling 4,000 klms throughout Queensland to attend Fellowship and Rally days and finally to the last Rally in Dalby.

He gave the “Flying Pardre”, Mark Burlow our guest speaker from Dalby, safety in reaching and serving people throughout a drought stricken outback covering 650,000 sq klms, 25% of Queensland from Dalby to the SA — NT border. He visits stations, towns and schools to give a listening ear, prayers as well as food and vouchers to these people to endure the hardships they are facing.
The offering for the day went to the South Qld Flying Service and Mary and Martha’s. Our Zone Project will be earmarked to help younger children to attend Kids Camp at Coolum through LYQ.

The day culminated by all singing the words to the theme song “He is Able’
“He is able, more than able
to accomplish what concerns me today.
He is able m more than able
to handle anything that comes my way.
He is able, more than able
to do much more than 1 can ever dream.
He is able, more than able
to make me what He wants me to be.”
In all your ways acknowledge Him,

Judy Kucks and Cheryl Peters (Reporters)
