Brisbane South & Gold Coast Zone Fellowship Day 21st Oct. 2025.

Theme: “FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

The beautiful themed quilt was made especially for the occasion by Janette Armstrong who did the embroidery and Esther Lewis who finished it with stiching it together

Good Shepherd were the hosts and Zone President Kaye Rossmann, together with Tingalpa President Janet Armstrong welcomed 39 attendees.

Pr Robert DeAntoni based his devotion around the Theme, asking the ladies to describe creation who answered beautiful and good. While it is both it is also a world tarnished by sin, death and devil. The fruit of the spirit for children of God, is a sign of our spiritual transformation, a beginning to respond to faith and a simple trust is Jesus Christ our Lord & Saviour.

GUEST SPEAKER: Fred Stolz shared the wonderful experiences he and wife Lois had during their time in PNG. Fred a retired educator who has devoted over five decades to education. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2023 for 54 years of service to Education. He was awarded the Officer of the Order of Logohu in PNG, in 2018. Fred was called by the Lutheran church to establish a new teachers’ college in Balob, Lae NG, founded by the German Lutherans. The college opened in 1965 with 99 students. It had grown to 300 in 1979 when Fred left. Fred and Lois are now retired and returned recently for the 60th Anniversary of the College.

The program was interspersed with short prayers on each fruit of the Spirit with lucky draw prizes and quizzes.

The day closed with singing of “A Child of God” followed by lunch.
